DEAR ALL FELLOWS!

grps is having this NE TRAIL THINGY taking place on the 6th 7th AND 8th NOVEMBER 2006, which is a monday tuesday and wednesday.
on this three days, you'll just be station masters for games and something like that (i'm not very sure either) but it'll be an easy peasy job. :D it will be taking place from AROUND 8AM-12NOON on these three days @ GRPS.

CIP HOURS WILL BE AWARDED!

there will also be a BRIEFING for this whole event on 3rd NOVEMBER 2006 FRIDAY at 12NOON. it'll be short, just to inform you guys of your tasks. it is okay if you can't make it. cuz you can go like 15minutes or half an hour earlier on monday to get to know your job better.

and yes, it is preferable that you be there on all three days of the activity, but it is not compulsory.

so those who are going for the briefing, please inform me latest by thursday morning, 2nd novermber.

yeah so i was thinking.

our holidays ended wayy too quickly with wayy too little time to meet up.

so i guess the restrictive order of yongkong coming to my house has been lifted.

heyy! look at this!

we can get 20 peopleeeeee, and the cost per person will be S$8.40 only. :D

HOWEVER, this pricing is for two hours only. and overtime rate will be S$4.20 per hour for adults and S$3.20 per hour for children. i'm not sure if we are considered adults or children because on the other pages of the web they put "children/students" yeah.

but it would be difficult to just arrange for people to go with the package because we might not be able to get multiples of four. AHA i don't know how to phrase this sentence alrights don't laugh! urm yeah. okay that all. quite useless information actually.

okay people bad news.
on wednesday, the 14th, the ice skating rink will be closed from 4.30pm tp 7pm cause it has been booked by Girls Scouts Singapore.
so it means we HAVE to finish by 4.30 and then cause u see there's a rink cleaning thing at 4 that lasts for 20 mins so i guess its better to leave the place at 4.
assuming we get in there at 1-2, we have about 2-3 hrs skating.

okay so anyway, the package for unlimited time for 4 would work out to be $9.20 each plus $2.10 for skates rental.
so total price per skater is about $11.30.
HOWEVER, if we pay individually i think we're considered as student as long as we produce identification so it's $8.40 for 2 hrs, and overtime charges are about $3.20 per hr or less, and yes $2.10 for skates too.
so max price for the individual payment one would be $13.70 for 3 hrs or $10.50 for 2 hrs.
so i would suggest to those who are going for 2 hrs only, assuming u enter from 2-4, to pay individually?
and those who are going in earlier at about 1 or 1.30 u could use the group of 4 package.

i think i would be getting the individual cause my piano ends at 12.30 and i have to go there and lunch. oh wait i can skip lunch, can buy stuff inside ma so pauline and kong, could u all arrange what time u want to have lunch with the rest? i can meet you all later on, just let me know where. =)

so lets say we leave the rink at 4, that's still quite early so hmm anyone up for a movie?

hey guys, it's me, yf. shocked to see me posting here? i just read jo's post about grps, and realised how long ive not been back there.

i still rmbr the initial first year, when we would go back every stupid occasion just to have fun. chinese new yr, teachers' day, you name it.

then we drifted apart at the end of sec two. rmbr how we always used to go bowling? and arnold and nick would say the girls' balls roll so slow, and even took out their hp to time!

we've spent so many happy and memorable times tgt. rmbr stella's bag in the pond? rmbr the guys' fights using the brooms and dustpans? rmbr sitting around after PSLE talking nonsense? rmbr scolding the guys and getting hit back? i still rmbr the pain. hahas.

we were such a close group in pri school. and we shouldnt ever let that change. i admit, ive not given much thought to grps since some time ago. but now that i think of it, there are so many memories of us there. so so many. simply uncountable. we've left out footsteps, our voices in every part of the school, imprinted our feelings on every day of school. no matter happy or sad, we've all been through it all together. quarrels and upsets, fights and pranks, laughter and joy, they all form up our whole journey as 6A1, and for some, even further beyond.

now i've started, i dont know how to end. maybe its like our friendship, never ever designated to end. i rmbr the promise that me, jolene and serene made tgt. friends forever. and i really do hope that its really going to be true. but no matter what, things must at least have a temporary ending, a stop for us to rest, and perhaps that is remembering the times we've spent tgt, and reminiscing about them together. in the end, we'd still have to continue the life-long journey that we're on.

but at least, we know who we can depend on for the whole of this journey - 6A1'03

heh so anyway, yongkong suggested two class gatherings - one to orchard and one to sentosa.

serene n i were discussing about the possibility of it over the mar hols but it was only one week and schedules clashed and all so yepps. june hols easier ma heh.
we can meet at harbourfront first and then go into sentosa together. =)

hmm... didn't know that my idea was so popular... okaes... anyway... that sure isn't my main point of posting here... we needa get started on the memoir fast if all of us are seriously for the idea...

to begin of with, what shall we name it? we should also quickly form a committee which will take charge of the entire publication. i don't mind being the editor seriously... i would try my best to do a great job if you guys have the faith in me. at the same time, jo and nick can sort of be the overall co-ordinators...

lastly... we definitely need to find a time to meet up somewhere to go into greater detail of discussion... meeting face-to-face is definitely more effective...

well considering the idea from charlene, jo and i are thinking of the class memoir.

and we have no idea what to put inside! so uhmm.. hohum. we need help. jo's dad can help with the publishing and what not. but we have to think of the concent. we as in ALL OF US. but currently it's just jo and i. with a little help from pauline. SO! yeah. we need some help here. some suggestions maybe?

and pauline wants a class mascot. i have no idea how to figure out how to do a class mascot. i mean the bear. let's imagine it's stuffed bear. and it has a shirt which says 6a1'03. how the heck we supposed to get the 6a1'03 onto the tee that small? i have no idea of anyone capable of doing that. unless u wanna sew the words onto the shirt individually which is madness.

and pauline u will not be able to thrash my hse til i fulfil you rmom's invitation of going to your hse. HAHA. i got an INVITATION! i feel so happy.

and so! back to the memoir. sry i digress easily. so what we have so far is:

1) handwritten messages to be sent to jo via snail mail.
2) pictures of places around grps. or just pictures for that matter.
3) caricatures? jo wants me to draw caricatures. wonder if i still can.
4) uhmm...

that's basically the content.

ohyeah. i'm in charge of the coverpage. and dont scream or squeal or anything. i'm quite okay with photoshop thank you. and i am gonna ask my art people to help me with it for our casl project. so yeah. it's gonna be nice. so everyone can stop holding your breath now. eee. kenneth's face is turning purple! eek. kenneth was a random name.

and it's like, a really good idea so yepps let's get on with it. =)
my daddy can help print.
and nicholas is designing the book cover. =)

so yepps we intend to put in pictures, and a handwritten message by everyone on their times in 6a1 and their thoughts ya?
oh ya the book is A5 btw heh =)

and also i'll get mrs huen, mrs tan and miss lee to write =)
cause like, mrs tan's daughter is in the same cls as me, so easy to get things to the teachers as well =) YAY!

additional stuff for the book would be stuff like.
any poems/drawings u yourself drew for the class or has smth to do with the class.
it can even be a printed out picture really =) can jsut scan in later on. =)
like nick might even draw caricatures of 6a1 people for fun to put in the book.
oh ya remember to sign off if you contribute smth =)

okay! jolene and i were discussing the whole 6a1 personal thingy business and we have come down to several options! please leave a tag or something. nvm i shall get a poll up soon.

we could get a:

1) jersey
2) shirt
3) stuffed toy? i seriously dont think so

and we can either:

1) print jerseys or tees at queensway
2) print them at http://www.class-t-shirt.com/
3) or just discuss it all on paper first

i'm a systematic guy. i dont go into things without planning especially if it costs wayyy alot more than my pocket money for a week.

so. i suggest we can either meet up to discuss this, preferably at my hse. or we can post what we think should be done on the blog so jo and i can go see what we can do.

well i just got news from my friend. they used classtshirt.com and they went to the company itself at payah lebar. the complete address is:

But I'm a little apprehensive about inviting mrs tan. since she's the VP of grps now. we’ve gotta give her the respect. anyways. well howdy. i see everyone now wants to be part of this blog. HELLO! the many tags certainly is very very heartening.

i say we have a class outing! my butt's sore from sitting down all day doing hw or at least tryingto do my hw. well at least i tried.

jo says she has exams on the first week of sch. surprising ainnit. who the heck has exams on the first week of sch. so uhm. we not having anything up anytime soon. i have trainings on weds fris and sats arnie has trainings on tues and thursday. that leaves monday. so uhm. yeah no chance. i'm SURE everyone else has a reason for y they cant make it for each day but uhm. yeah. who cares. we all cant make it (:
